The Flying Emu
Aerial photography · Perth WA
At The Flying Emu, we specialise in capturing Rockingham’s natural beauty and coastal energy from the sky. Whether you’re promoting tourism, showcasing a waterfront property, documenting an event or highlighting a business location, we bring clarity, artistry and technical precision to every shoot. Our goal is simple: to show Rockingham at its best.
Rockingham is known for its relaxed beach lifestyle, calm turquoise waters and access to some of Western Australia’s most iconic marine environments. From the air, the suburb transforms into a vibrant mix of shapes, colours and textures — bright sandbars, shallow reefs, anchored boats, and long sweeping shorelines.
Landmarks such as Rockingham Beach, Point Peron, Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, and Penguin Island create dramatic aerial scenes, especially during sunrise and sunset when the light reflects across the water. These locations are favourites for tourism campaigns, recreational photography, environmental documentation and commercial marketing.
The contrast between deep blue ocean, limestone coastline, and lush park areas gives Rockingham a natural visual identity that’s uniquely suited to drone photography. Whether the focus is nature, lifestyle or development, Rockingham offers endless opportunities for compelling aerial visuals.

Capturing Rockingham from above requires an understanding of coastal conditions — wind, tides, water clarity, marine activity and lighting all influence the final result. Our team carefully plans each session to ensure the best perspective, timing and safety.
